About American Telangana Association (ATA)

American Telangana Association is a non-profit organization devoted to the awareness, promotion, andpreservation of the unique cultureand traditions of Telangana. Formed on March 12th, 2016, the organization intends to unify the Telangana NRIs/ Telangana Associations across United States, develop bondage among the community to retain the unique culture and traditions of Telangana and pass it on to future generations. American Telangana Association will involve actively in communities where we live-in and undertake wide range of voluntary activities to help strengthen the communities.

Goals:

  • The Association will strive to channel the energies and entrepreneurship of Telanganites living in the United States to create a prosperous ‘Bangaru Telangana'.
  • Partner with Telangana Govt. and conduct seminars across the United States to promote the brand image of 'Hyderabad' and attract potential business investments to the state of Telangana
  • Organize national level Telangana convention every two years to showcase the Telangana culture, facilitate the Telangana businessmen/ women to network, socialize, and entertain kids and families
  • Develop entrepreneurship among Telangana fraternity by conducting seminars with successful businessmen/ women and professionals
  • Undertake voluntary activities in the field of Education, Health care, Engineering, Scientific, Immigration etc.
  • Construct Telangana Bhavan in USA to serve as community/ cultural center for the Telangana and Indian families
  • Serve as a liaison between the Telangana NRIs and Telangana Govt.
  • Provide community support help line.
  • Offer web counseling for US bound students and educate them about the university background, their financial requirement, scholarships etc.
  • Aid as an Indian Embassy Liaison - for Emergency Passport and Indian Visa related Issues.
  • Maintain an emergency fund to take care of emergency family situations like Health care issues, deaths, etc.
  • Matrimonial support by partnering with established support portals.
  • Educate/Mentor Telanganites to involve in US political system.

Finally, American Telangana Association is an innovator when it comes to new ideas; it is designed to be the “next-generation” type of organization. The organization willwork to unify Telangana Associations across United States and bring them under one umbrella for the greater good of the Telangana community. ATA will solicit the support of Telangana Associations for national level events. It will partner and not compete with the local Telangana Associations and their activities.
